Our Story
Three Decades of Delaware Valley Craftsmanship
SMG Plastering INC was founded by Shane Mc Girr and has spent more than 30+ years restoring, protecting and finishing properties across the Delaware Valley. What began as a plastering trade business has grown into a full-service exterior and interior contractor covering painting, restoration, remediation, stucco, siding, concrete, masonry and hardscaping.
We are headquartered at 830 Crum Creek Road, Media, PA 19063, minutes from the Delaware County Courthouse. Our crews work this region every day — which means we know the housing stock, the soil, the weather patterns and the permitting offices intimately.
Every project is led by trained, insured tradespeople and backed by a written scope, itemized pricing and a clean job site. We answer the phone, we show up when we say we will, and we stand behind the work.
Meet the Owner
Shane Mc Girr — Owner & Founder
Shane started SMG Plastering INC in Media, PA and still runs every job personally. With 30+ years on Delaware Valley properties, he walks each site himself, writes the scope you sign, and stays reachable from the first phone call to the final walkthrough.
His approach is simple: diagnose the cause before touching the finish. That habit — learned over three decades of stucco, plaster, water damage and masonry work — is why so much of the company's work comes from repeat clients, property managers and neighbor referrals.
“We treat every property like our own — that's how a family business lasts thirty years.”
